I was 19. I worked at a public library. I had blue hair. I was in a terrible band (because I did all the singing and songwriting, which is something I shouldn’t be ever be doing).
One of the librarians said, “We want to have a ‘teen night’ here! You’re in a band, right? You should play!”
Nobody says the word “TEEN” more than librarians.
So we opened for this band called the High Strung (I think?*). I wore a purple dress. We were terrible. The librarians loved it, though.
